The Cupola is up!
Our 28 x 36 demonstration building is being raised for our customers to see a timber frame building first hand.
Wow! We are into 2012... with no snow as of early January!
While we have been reveling with the 'no snow' conditions and working out side, our logger friends have not been so lucky. With the warmer than usual temperatures, we do not have the frost pack we normally have and the loggers have not been able to log as usual due to the soft ground conditions. This situation has us very concerned as logs will be a little harder to harvest and purchase. We encourage our customers to get their timber frame orders in early this season so we can manage the log and timber demand.
If you have not already, check out our timber frame kits. Great products at very good prices. And remember, after a timber frame kit has been raised there is sheathing, roofing and finishing to be completed. We are finding that timber frame kit customers still want to work with a contractor to complete and finish their timber frame structure.
We continue to improve our offerings and product quality. We added a flitch edger for our sawmill operation. Matching roof or side wall sheathing has never been easier. The finished straight edge of each board makes matching (almost) effortless.
As I evaluate our company, I think that it is important we make investments in our company's equipment as well as our product offerings so that we are constantly improving the value we offer to our customers.
