News from the Maine Timberframer
2nd Quarter, 2010 Update
It is the beginning of the 2nd Quarter and we are starting a timber frame garage and shop project for a customer in Pennsylvania. It is a 24 x 28 with a 14 x 24 shop attachment. We expect to have logs coming in for the project shortly. It is turning out to be a great Spring season.
Adding lights to the sawmill area has helped us to meet contractor sawing needs. We are able to take on more sawing jobs and turn around the products in a very short time period.
The insulation is the shop is great, along with the addition of a slab burning stove.... How did we ever get along without??
We continue to work on jobs and are pecking away at our 30 x 48 Eastern White Pine timber frame building project for a display model.
We went ahead and purchased a L200 Nyle kiln. We will be building a new kiln building in the Spring / Summer and offering a KD service to our contractor customers. We view the kiln as another key lumber and timber service to offer our contractor customers.
Another load of logs to be turned into timber and a timber frame
